Jen & Kevin’s Engagement Session – Washington D. C.

A big congratulations to cousin Jen and her beau Kevin who got engaged last December, while on a romantic ‘freezing’ getaway to NYC. It was such an exciting day and we were thrilled to be so close to the action and even more excited to head down to D.C. last weekend to capture some fun and dramatic engagement portraits for them.

This little photo shoot took all of 5 mins before the heavens burst open on us

So, we had to think on our feet and find a fun indoor location to continue the shoot. Thankfully, the portrait gallery was open, so we popped in there to play hide and seek with the security guards as we took advantage of all the awesome stairs. Pity we couldn’t use external lighting, as this venue really does have a lot of creative places to play in, but we did our best and we were absolutely pumped with adrenaline by the time we left.

By the time we got outside, we were thrilled to see the rain had disappeared, so after a quick wardrobe change, we headed off to the WW2 memorial, where Jen and Kevin spent their 2nd date (in pouring rain also I might add!!)

Chris and Emily’s Wedding – North Carolina

I am super excited to share these photos with you all, not only because of how stunning the bride and groom looked and the fabulous details that they chose, but also because they are two of my closest friends. It was such a huge honor to document this event for you both and honestly, I would have made a very poor guest at your wedding, as it was so beautiful in so many ways, and I would have been green with envy if some other photographer got the privilege of capturing it.

Chris and Emily, I wish you the very best in your marriage and for your move to NC. You will be sadly missed, but expect lots of visitors!!

Maclane Annabelle – Simchat Bat – Yale Club – New York City

Congratulations to little Maclane Annabelle who received her Jewish name and blessing at the Yale Club last Saturday, surrounded by all of her wonderful family and friends. I had the privilege of meeting this adorable blue-eyed beauty when she was two months old. You can check out that blog post here: Maclane 2 months old

Maclane is now 6 months old, sitting up by herself and as precious as ever, bringing so much happiness and joy to everyone who surrounds her. A special thank you to Rachel Pasternak for leading Maclane’s Simchat Bat. Maclane’s Jewish name is Nesya Hadar.

As if Dylan’s Chocolate needed anything else to make it amazing – Whitney’s friends went above and beyond and wrapped each bar of delicious chocolate in these adorable pink and white themed wrappers and attached each cute adornment by hand – pretty impressive ladies!!

Wine is the traditional Jewish symbol of joy, so the ceremony begins with the Kiddush blessing followed by the HaMotzi (blessing of the challah).

Max Raphaely turns 11 months old!! – Central Park Family Portraits – New York City

Avery Nadel – 6 month old Portraits – New York City

I can’t think of a better way, to have spent a glorious St. Patrick’s day morning than with this adorable little munchkin and her lovely parents. And it’s all thanks to her awesome Auntie for a very generous gift certificate, which she gave to Avery when she was born 6 months ago. You rock Auntie Gillian!!

The weather that week was iffy to say the least, but the sun was beaming on this brisk March Saturday morning. Kelly and Lee knew of this cool, grungy area that we were lucky enough to have all to ourselves, so even energetic puppy Milli got to run around free for these hip and edgy family portraits!!

Thank you both for showing me this cool new place to photograph and for sharing your sweet, sweet little girl with me. She’s an absolute treasure to both be around and to photograph

Alefiya & Taher Engagement Session – New York City

A very big congratulations to Alefiya and Taher who are getting married this summer. Unfortunately, I won’t be able a capture their beautiful destination wedding, as I am already booked for another wedding but I was super excited and very honored to be able to spend an afternoon with them and capture these very playful and gorgeous engagement images. Both big football fans, we started the day in team colors and tossed around a football in Central Park before these two quickly transformed their look into a spectacular cocktail dress for Alefiya and a handsome jacket for Taher. A quick sneaky photo shoot in the bar before heading off to our next destination in Brooklyn Park for a stunning backdrop of Manhattan. Lastly, we headed to Grand Central where Alefiya dressed in a fabulous traditional pink and green Sari with gold trim finished off with matching jewelery – truly fitting for such a stunning lady Thank you both for a wonderful day and for making such an effort. It was a real pleasure to work with you both and I wish you all the happiness on your wedding day!! Hugs Sandra

Diana & Kevin’s Wedding – New York City (Alger House, Grand Central, Central Park)

So excited to share this awesome wedding with you all. Diana and Kevin tied the knot at The Church of the blessed Sacrament in NYC and celebrated the night away at the historic Alger House in Soho. With two gorgeous dresses, a beaming bride, handsome groom and super fun bridal party it was bound to be an amazing photo day. And to top it all off, the forecast went from 70% chance of rain to 10% so extra special thank yous to the weather Gods

Since rain was forecasted, we preplanned with a permit to Grand Central and despite not needing it, we decided to stop off there briefly, for some majestic shots before heading to Central Park which was super fun.

Thank you Diana and Kevin for bring out your inner models and for all the amazing portraits you helped me create and also a special congrats to Kevin’s parents who were celebrating 35 years of marriage – you’re an inspiration to us all

Introducing Lily Borofsky – 3 months old – New York City

We are happy to announce the newest member of our ‘One Year Later Club’, adorable Lily Borofsky having her 3 month old portraits, taken with her very proud parents Michael and Jacki. Miles and Rose at the park – San Francisco

I was back in California a few weeks ago and got to spend a beautiful, sunny day in the park with baby Miles who just turned one year old and big sister Rose who is three. I had the pleasure of holding this little man and photographing him in the hospital when he was only 48 hours old. I can’t believe he’s a year already!! Thanks Elyse and Mike for another super cute portrait session. Your kids are adorable and never cease to amaze me with their beautiful personalities
